No, i don't agree that the minimum wage should be raised to 15 dollars an hour. The reason for this is since companies would have to pay their workers more, an abundant amount of products could either slightly increase in price or sky rocket. So therefore raising the pay to $15 wouldn't help, it would just help steer towards inflation. In my opinion its not the governments job to support people who are working minimum wage jobs, especially if the wages were to increase. If they were to increase that means they shouldn't need help, then the money the government could be saving could go towards helping the homeless/ unemployed. to summarize this up, i think the wage shouldn't be increased because theres a chance of inflation and i also think that its not governments responsibility to take care of the people.

I agree with Isabel that most of the minimum wage workers are people with families and having an increase in the wage can help them provide more for their families.

Yes, I do agree with Sanders. If you do the calculations of anything less than 15 dollars an hour for a standard 40 hour workweek, that falls below the poverty line at under 30,000 dollars a year. I know people who make more than that in a DAY. So i think raising it makes sense and that.
I also think that the inflation which results in us having to increase the minimum wage is the American government's fault (especially for leaving the gold standard), so it's their job to fix it.

I disagree with Jimel because companies make such huge profit margins anyways; they can afford to pay more especially if that 50k comes out of a rich CEO's salary.
And I also disagree that it's not the government's responsibility; the government is intended for safety and it is frankly unsafe to live under 30k a year because you will be making unhealthy, unsafe cuts to your lifestyle to make ends meet.
